Last month we took the trip to Tortilla Flat (and stopped off at Canyon Lake). It was our intention to drive a full loop past several other lakes and come out around Globe (Hwy 60). When we got to Tortilla Flat we learned that the road becomes a dirt road a few miles away. So we opted out of that loop and went back home.
This time, we decided to take our car and to turn it into a fishing trip. We rented a fishing boat at Canyon Lake and spent about 4 hours on the lake. Although we didn't catch any fish, it was very relaxing trying. The surrounding countryside of the lake was spectactular. We forgot to bring a camera, so all these pictures were taken with our Smart Phones.

Back in the marina, there was a momma duck with her little ducklings. They were so cute.
Lunch at Tortilla Flat. This is the inside of their restaurant. The wall is papered with $1.00 bills. They estimate about $100,000 taped and stapled to the wall and ceiling.

This group of pictures was along the route of the loop. We stopped often and took lots of pictures.
Scott's mini tour of the beautiful canyon.
OMG ... we came around a curve and there was Roosevelt Dam. What a beautiful site.
Then to top off the end of our "tour", this is a suspension bridge above the Roosevelt Dam.
Beautiful !!
This short little video is a panoramic view of the bridge.
